is a much different world than the one that I grew up in.
I get back to my room tonight and pick up this morning's paper. (I never get up early enough to read it before I go to work, so I read it when I get back to the room.) Nintendo, maker of the leading video game on the market (by a 4:3 margin over Microsoft, and a better than 2:1 margin over Sony), has decided to provide "a breadth of games of all story lines and all genres". Translation: they want their game console owners to be able to experience killing someone in more realistic ways than simply pressing buttons on a console. Make slashing motions in the air to cut someone, and lifting your hands as if you are strangling someone.
Oh yeah. That's what I want my kids to learn.
This is entertainment? Not in my house.

Oh my. Yeah, that's disturbing.
What doesn't kill us, only makes us stronger
