In my nightly telephone conversation with my spouse, the following story was related to me.
Theresa wanted to take the kids and have dinner with her mom and dad this week, so tonight they met at Souplantation for their evening meal. The kids had a very good dinner, actually eating real live vegetables (well, that was a little editorializing there. I don't know that the vegetables were actually still living. It is very likely that they were not.) And for dessert the kids all had ice cream. (As a side note - Theresa said that Grayson, upon eating about half of his ice cream, pushed the bowl aside so he could finish his apple!)
On the way home, Mattea fell asleep in the van. When they got home, Theresa left Mattea in the van, and herded the boys into the house so they could start getting ready for bed. The boys were concerned that Theresa had left their sister in the van, so they asked if they could go wake her up. Agreeing to their request, the next thing Theresa knows is that Noah is taking his electric guitar outside. Asking him why, his response is that Grayson had taken his guitar outside. She goes out to find Grayson singing to his sister "Wake up, Mattea" (which is a song from a custom-made compact disc that Auntie Sister (long story that I still have yet to tell on this blog) had made for Mattea several years ago. But he couldn't just sing the song... he had to take his guitar out to "play" it to her!
