Don't people actually think anymore?

Yesterday, I was at the airport readying myself for yet another trip out of town. The Chargers had just put away the Indianapolis Colts (earning a 9-3 record against the Colts in the soon to be demolished RCA Dome). (And not to gloat or anything, but Peyton Manning, being the very good quarterback that he is, threw only 16 interceptions all year. Eight of those landed in the arms of the Chargers.)

Anyway... as I was saying, I was getting ready for my flight out of town and I was wearing a LaDainian Thomlinson jersey. I was walking up to the pizza line to get one of those really nice airport pizzas, when a guy walks up to me and says "Did you fly in for the game?" I suppose that could be a reasonable question had the game actually been in San Diego! Thinking to myself "Let's see, would I fly to San Diego to watch a game being played in Indianapolis?" I just looked at the guy.

After my airport meal (eaten while standing at a cheap plastic counter watching all the weary Sunday night travelers go by), I moved over to my gate area, where the 737 that I was going to fly out on had just arrived. As a wave of jersey clad Chargers fans erupt out of the jetway on the newly arrived flight from Vegas, another guy asks one of them "So... did you guys go see the game?" A game that had just ended three hours ago in Indianapolis! Well, in all fairness, I suppose that they could have chosen to leave the game at half time to catch a plane to fly home. Although, had I chosen to go watch the contest live, I would think that I'd probably want to stay for the whole game. Don't people actually think anymore?

Gee. Did you see the game? (heavy on the sarcasm here)

Anyway - I'm back! Go read my blog & see my pics.

In the month of January, I probably traveled farther than you have so far...LOL!
