I know that I said I'd be back in a couple of days, but after thinking about it, I decided to wrap things up today. "Why?" I hear you ask. Well...
Tomorrow brings the last day of this particular program. And I have two dealerships to train, after which I somehow get to the airport (probably by begging a ride from my afternoon store) to fly home. There, Theresa will be picking me up with a vanload of children. By the time we get home, I doubt that updating my blog will be my priority. That, and I have nothing better to do at the moment.
So... now you have a better idea of what I do with my life. Not that you really wanted to know, but it's my blog and I get to fill it up with whatever I wish! A lot of driving. A lot of fast food. A lot of hotels.
Now that this program works to its' conclusion, I've got a couple of other projects on the horizon. Mark hired me to write a full model line training program for one of the Nissan regions. The hope is that it will be an ongoing program presented to "new hires" on a somewhat continuing basis (essentially, one week a month). That could prove to be a good thing. Since I am writing the program, when available, it makes sense that I would present it. And the Infiniti side heard of this, so there is a possibility that they would like to do something similar. Which, if I am selected to write that too, could provide for some additional training as well. So some possible stability in an otherwise unstable business.
And in October, Nissan will be launching the new 2007 Altima, which I am trying to arrange to conduct in the Northwest region. But much time lies between now and October, and nothing concrete exists yet.
So, with that, I ride off into the sunset, and you'll get no more blogging from me.
